My name is Jake Lee, founder of Inner Edge Performance LLC. I earned my Master’s degree in Sport & Exercise Psychology from California State University, Long Beach, and for over 7 years, I’ve worked as a mental performance coach helping athletes—from youth and high school competitors to collegiate and professional athletes—build confidence, resilience, and consistency under pressure.
My approach is practical, personalized, and results-driven. I work one-on-one and with teams to design mental training systems that athletes actually commit to—systems that improve focus, emotional control, confidence, and competitive readiness. I pride myself on building real rapport with athletes, collaborating with coaches and parents when appropriate, and delivering measurable mental growth that shows up in performance.
I know what it’s like to love the grind, chase greatness, and feel the pressure that comes with competing at a high level.
I grew up playing basketball and football, and like many athletes, I was obsessed with what separated the greats from everyone else. One of my biggest inspirations was Kobe Bryant. Studying his mindset, work ethic, and Mamba Mentality sparked a lifelong fascination with how elite performers think, respond to pressure, and consistently rise in big moments. That curiosity ultimately led me to pursue sport psychology.
Inner Edge Performance exists to help athletes stop fighting their minds and start trusting them—so they can compete freely, confidently, and at their best when it matters most.
